wavepal

Built for brains that lose track of time (and people).

Wavepal is a keep-in-touch app designed around how ADHD actually feels: time blindness, out-of-sight out-of-mind, and the shame spiral that often follows.

Wavepal is waitlist-only for now.

Leave your email and we’ll let you know when your spot opens.

Free to start. No card. No streaks to protect.

Sound familiar?

Six weeks disappears in a blink.

Time blindness is real. It was “just last month” in your head. The calendar disagrees.

Out of sight, out of existence.

You love them. But if they don’t cross your path, they quietly fall out of the rotation. It’s not a character thing. It’s a working-memory thing.

The longer it’s been, the harder the text.

Week two feels awkward. Month six feels impossible. So it becomes month twelve, and the shame compounds like interest.

How Wavepal is shaped around that.

The nudge does the remembering.
You decide once how often you want to keep up with each person. After that, Wavepal watches the clock so you don’t have to. When it’s time, you get one small prompt with one small action. No planning, no list to review, no decisions to spiral on.
No such thing as overdue.
There are no streaks or scary red messages for getting behind. A nudge you don’t take just waits. Snoozing is a button, not a failure, so the shame spiral never gets started.
An external memory for the details.
The kids’ names, the new job, the thing you swore you’d ask about. Written down on their page, shown right when you reach out. Your working memory gets to take the day off.
Proof you’re a better friend than you think.
Every wave, birthday, and note lands in a little history. On the days your brain says you’re a bad friend, the timeline politely disagrees.

To be clear: Wavepal isn’t therapy, treatment, or a productivity system to fail at. It’s a small tool that assumes forgetting is human, and it’s gentle for every kind of brain.

If your particular flavor is forgetting birthdays or never texting back, we wrote about those too: remembering birthdays without the spreadsheet and the app that reminds you to text your friends.

Fair questions.

Do I need an ADHD diagnosis to use this?
No. If the top of this page felt like being seen, that’s the only qualification. Forgetful is forgetful; the nudges don’t check your paperwork.
Will the nudges pile up and overwhelm me?
They don’t stack into a doom list. Wavepal surfaces a few at a time, and anything you skip simply waits its turn.
I’m terrible at texting back. Will this fix that?
Partly. Wavepal doesn’t read your messages or answer them for you. What it covers is the other half: the text you meant to send first, the friend you’ve been meaning to check on. Set a pace for that person and the nudge shows up with your notes on them, so starting feels smaller.
What happens if I abandon it for a month?
Nothing bad. No guilt email, no lost progress, no wall of red. Come back and it picks up right where you are, not where you “should” be.

Be the friend who remembers.

Add your first few people in minutes. Wavepal takes it from there.
